Happy Hour

Happy Hour is an informal discussion group which meets in a City /West End pub close to a tube on the 1st Wednesday of every month (excluding July and August) 6.30pm -8.30pm. We’ve been going for several years and have covered a range of topics including several environmental issues; the most (and least) compelling parables; influential Christians- books- leaders; being a Christian in the modern workplace; facing up to death; the influence of music and poetry on our faith and many others. Most discussions are peer led and take the form of a short introduction followed by open discussion which segues into general socialising in the second hour and agreeing the topic for the next month. All helped along by a glass or two or a cup of coffee. The location and topic are advertised on the website and in the weekly newsletter/intimations. We are an all-age, open group and welcome newcomers. Just turn up on the evening or, if you want more info please contact Kate Payne on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 1 April at the Cheshire Cheese Little Essex Street WC2R 3LD from 6.30pm (reservation name Kate). The theme reflects our earlier popular session on memorable poems and is An A-Z of women Hymn writers. All welcome, just turn up on the evening.
