Baptisms

We celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism for children on the first Sunday of each month during our Morning Service. We have limited numbers of 3 baptisms per service, so we advise that you send your request in advance.

Please submit the Baptism Form to the church office at office@stcolumbas.org.uk.

If you would like to organise an adult baptism, please contact the office.

What happens next?

The church office or one our ministers will be in touch to arrange a first meeting to discuss the service.

We understand that you will be eager to send invitations and make travel arrangements for those who live far but we kindly ask you to wait until confirmation has been sent before doing so.

How much does it cost?

There are no fees for baptisms but you are welcome to make a donation.

What happens after the service?

Refreshments will be served in the Upper Hall. Donations are welcome

You are also welcome to join on Congregational Lunch in the Lower Hall (£4/lunch for two-course meal). We kindly ask you to confirm numbers in advance so our hospitality team can cater accordingly.

You can download our Helpful Hints to help prepare the day or visit Church of Scotland Baptism for more information.
