We are a charge of the Church of Scotland and one of eight congregations within the Presbytery of England. Established in London in 1701, the Church of Scotland moved to Knightsbridge in 1884. The original church building was destroyed in 1941 in the blitz and our current building was rededicated in 1955.
We are a large and growing congregation particularly amongst families and young adults coming to London for work. Although our members come from 30 of the 32 London boroughs and beyond, we work to create a strong sense of community and Christian witness.
The minister and associate minister together with the Kirk Session govern the church within a Presbyterian system of government. We currently have 44 elders composing the members of our Session. Members of the congregation along with elders form the leadership for our six congregational ministries: fellowship, nurture, welcome and hospitality, worship and communication, and outreach.
